Welcome to the latest Arkeyn Steel newsletter where you will find some cool updates. First of all we must point that the "secret" release of Arkeyn Steel Records which was a big question for all of you, unfortunatelly has to be cancelled. We had almost completed the deal with the band, but on the last second there was a disagreement between the band members. To cut a long story sort, there was actually one member that -for his own reasons- have not given the final permission for the release to happend, it has to be cancelled. We will not going to announce the band's name because we do not want to spread any bad attitude. They would probably have a better luck with a future deal and of course we wish it to them.
Leaving that behind we would like to announce our next release for June 2008. James Shellberg (Enchanter, Longings ast) had the original plan to re-release both Longings Past titles by himself. Well he was pretty amazed and satisfied by the final result of the Enchanter - Defenders Of The Realm CD that he kindly offered us the chance to re release the two legendary Longings Past albums on CD. The debut Longings Past album, Meadows Of Maseilya will be the first title to come out. This epic and mysterious musical anthem was originally released on tape back in 1992 and it will be for first time available on CD re mixed and re mastered by James Shellberg himself on USA. The second Longings Past album, An Angel's Tale (originally released on 1994 on tape and CD) will follow.
