Staying away from the so-called “true metal” ideology and proving their quality with real hard and heavy songs the band became a hype in their homeland of Norway. After a self released demo and a single, they were picked up by the Norwegian label Edgerunner Records, and released their debut “The Fair Bitch Project” in 2002. Following their debut album, Absolute Steel played numerous shows, gradually building up their name especially with their original presence on stage: shows with heavy metal helmets, loads of pyros, strippers and more stuff surprised every audience! The guitar wars between the two axemen Andy Boss and Dave Bomb are almost legendary! Shortly after the recording of their second album, Edgerunner Records called it a day and the band was looking for a new contract. Black Lotus became aware of this and as a result recently welcomed Absolute Steel into its growing roster of quality artists. “WomaniZer” is the title of their second album which will be released worldwide early this autumn.
