Eifel

We wanted to taste some winter in the German Eifel and because of a coupon we decided to book a midweek in one of the Centerparcs bungalows. The parc was situated in the Volcanic Eifel and our bungalow was very close to the Market Dome with shops and restaurants. We took the cats with us, so we didn't go away too much, but enjoyed strolling around on the parc and relaxing in the bungalow or in the Market Dome. One day we made a longer trip and visited a castle (Niederburg) in Manderscheid and some of the typical volcanic lakes near Ulmen (Ulmener Maar) and Daun (Gemündener Maar and Weinfelder Maar/Totenmaar).
