ALBUM INFORMATION FOR THE FINAL EXPERIMENT
The Final Experiment, released in 1995, was Ayreon's first album. Actually, 'Ayreon' is the main character in an already classic good-versus-evil concept story, which is told on this concept album. The blind minstrel in a medieval setting is interpreting images sent back from the future, warning humanity against the downfall of earth. The music on this disc ranges from melodic rock to symphonic metal. Variation is the keyword of this disc, expressed in for example the use of both femal opera vocals and a male death grunt.
