It was great to see these guys playing for the second time! (I saw them before in August 1999). The venue doesn't look much like a concert hall from the outside and it's also quite small (I don't think it can hold more than 200 people). The stage is also really tiny and, of course, you can't expect a big light show, but there was a good mood.

Avalanch took the stage at 9:15. By this time the place was pretty full, and the fans had migrated up to the front of the stage. The only thing that sucked was that the sound was bad, nevertheless it was a great evening with a great band. The nice thing about this show was that there were a lot of people there, but it did not feel crowded. The intro from "El Ángel Caído" was heared and soon Avalanch were on the stage and started off in a great way. "Tierra De Nadie", "Cid" and "Xana" followed in quick succession. Lead singer Victor García has an excellent stage presence and the band's two guitarists kept the crowd rocking for the entire show. Hits such as "Por Mi Libertad", "El Ángel Caído", "Excalibur" (during this song Victor was holding a sword in his hands) and "Corazón Negro" kept metalheads such as myself happy.

The band launched into "Delirios de Grandeza", another strong new song that went down very well. One of the highlights was "Torquemada", this was one of my favorite songs of the night. This really is one hell of song live... the crowd went wild. The best part of the show for me was the triple shot of rock that came near the end of the show with "La Taberna", "Allí Estaré", and the cover of the Helloween song "I Want Out" (of course, everyone in the crowd was singing along). The band and the crowd were at their best during these three songs. The fans were jumping around so much that the venue was literally shaking. The sound wasn't the best and the venue had horrible acoustics, but all in all it was a nice concert. If you think that Avalanch's studio work rocks, then you will be blown away by their live versions. Very charming and with great communication with the audience, they made sure we all had a great time! -Review & photos by Marina-
