GAMMA RAY

MADRID

GAMMA RAY were back in Spain, performing their last show of a short 10 dates tour opening for IRON MAIDEN on their "Dance Of Death" Tour. I won't write about the Maiden show here though, cause I went to this concert just to see Gamma Ray. The venue was pretty packed by the time Kai Hansen & Co. got on stage, decorated with a huge backdrop with the band's logo painted on it. Although they only played seven songs, the band played with as much intensity and high energy as if they were the headliners. The sound was a bit muffled and unclear. Other than that minor flaw, the band played a good metal show that made the crowd go wild. Anthems such as "Gardens Of The Sinner", "Rebellion In Dreamland", "Heavy Metal Universe", "Send Me A Sign" and especially "I Want Out", which inspired the crowd to sing along LOUDLY, where well received even by those who had never heard them before. This band has loads of charisma to spare and never fail to put on nothing short of a killer show!! I'm already looking forward for the next time. UP DA RRRRAYS!! \m/ -Review & photos by Marina-
