EDGUY - VAIN GLORY OPERA (1998)
reviewed by Erlend

Considering the age of these fellows (not more than 20 years), this album is damn impressive! They're very talented, and play melodic power metal... Sound mostly like they're influenced by the German metal scene (Helloween, Gamma Ray etc...)

Vain Glory Opera is their second official release, and it contains 11 powerful tracks (included one intro). My favourite songs are "Until We Rise Again", "How Many Miles", "Out of Control" and "Vain Glory Opera". This is an incredible piece of melodic metal, with the usual power metal ballads, and of course lots of double bass drumming. I'd recommend you to get this album if you like the German metal scene!
