HAMMERFALL - LEGACY OF KINGS (1998):
reviewed by Erlend

What an amazing band Hammerfall really is! I'm certain that if they existed for 15 years ago, they would be on the line with Iron Maiden and Manowar! The sound is similar to both these bands, but more melodic and power-metalish.

There are very few weak songs on Legacy of Kings, only maybe Remember Yesterday, which is my least favourite on the album. The other songs have all catching metal-riffs, especially Legacy of Kings, Dreamland, the mid-tempo At the End of the Rainbow, and Warriors of Faith... the last track The Fallen One is also very good (for a ballad).

The covert art is great, the booklet is great and the songs are great... the lyrics are maybe a bt ... one-sided, but so be it. This album is great anyway!
