MYSTIC PROPHECY "Regressus" [Nuclear Blast]

2nd album from Mystic Prophecy. Many people consider them as a project and not a band, but I feel that they are here to stay! I loved their debut and the new one as well!!!

They are NOT euro-power clones and they have their own dark style to deliver really heavy songs performed with passion. Exceptional technical skills, emotionally powered choruses, catchy tunes... what more can you ask!! My theory is that all CDs are not good before I listen to them and if they manage to change my mind while listening, then they are surely worthy! And believe me, this one is the kind of album you'd like to play again and again day by day to keep your head banging with pleasure. Riffs and melodies full of essence and a sense of melancholy, constitute a musical background where vocals come to cap their wonderfully crafted structure. If I had to choose my favorite songs, those will be "Calling From Hell", "The Traveller" (just an intro, but it's so cooool!), "When Demons Return" and "Mystic Prophecy"!! Actually I tend to listen the whole CD more than 5 times a day lately even if I have to review almost a hundred of other promos!

If you call yourself a heavy metal fan, go get this dynamite now!! It'll motivate you into endless hours of head banging and it's surely a great way to start your day, or play it in the car or even sleep with it hehe :)
